Description:

225 pages. H 23.25cm x L 15.25cm. Rigid maroon covers with chipping along edges, strong scuffing along front joint with slender splitting at both ends. Binding is still firm. Edges toned. Ink signature of Harry Goldblatt at top right corner of front flyleaf. Large blue ink "Complimentary Copy" stamp on title page. A good+ copy of an uncommon book by noted Canadian endocrinologist Hans Selye (1907-1982). Off-chance possibility that the aforementioned signature is that of Dr. Harry Goldblatt (1891-1977) noted for his research regarding high blood pressure, but, as the book was obtained from a doctor's estate in West Point, Mississippi estate with no known connection to the Cleveland, Ohio researcher, this bookseller must leave such an attribution for others to determine.
