Revised edition (as stated upon front cover). 20 pages plus covers. Slender staple-bound booklet: H 22.25cm x L 9.75cm. Gray paper covers slightly toned; brown stain at front cover's center left, tearing at top and bottom of spine fold and likewise at folds between several initial and rear leaves. Some rust to staples but binding is firm. Some toning and soiling to interior pages. A good copy. Per the discreet Brandon Printing Company imprint at the bottom of page 3 with their "2-10-06" code (for February, 10, 1906), this is the quite uncommon revised second edition of this brief history of the famous locomotive and the Civil War Great Locomotive Chase also known as the Andrews' Raid. The booklet's scarce first edition was issued in 1897 under the title "Engine General: Captured by Andrews' Party and Recaptured by Confederates, April 12, 1862." Other editions were published in 1909, 1917, and later. Bookseller Inventory #
