Book is in VERY GOOD+ condition with corners and spine tips barely bumped, gilt lettering on front cover & spine, blue and white checkerboard endpapers with soldier inside of squares. Illustrated with black & white photos and illustrations throughout. Three color plates including frontispiece of Lee family seal under tissue and pictures of Lee and his father - Major General Henry "Light Horse Larry" Lee. Dustjacket is in VERY GOOD condition with bright glossy color cover portrait of Lee on horse. Corners and bottom spine tip barely bumped. Top spine tip worn with 1/4" tear from top and there are two other minor 1/4" tears/folded down, one on front and one on back otherwise dustjacket is in exceptional quality especially for 50 year old book!.
