8vo. (24 cm.) Frontispiece black and white photo of Ole Hanson plus 52 black and white captioned photos, including many of elegant houses in San Clemente. Business card of John Alden Alson, Licensed Real Estate Broker attached to bottom of p. 78. Red cloth made to look like leather with the front cover blocked in blind and with gilt letters and a vignette in gilt of the sign of San Clemente. Minor wear to extremities with nothing rubbed through, gilt slightly dulled, rear board has a faint crease, pencil inscription on front free endpaper ("T. Leur's [?] / Secretary / Chamber of Commerce / San Clemente, Calif."), all photos present and in fine condition, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. No dust jacket. Ole Hanson was the founder and builder of San Clemente, California, which was begun in 1926. Homer Banks came to live in San Clemente in 1929 and eventually wrote the story of the founding and development of San Clemente. Rocq #6138. Bookseller Inventory # 008003
