About the Book

We're sorry; this specific copy is no longer available. Here are our closest matches for Safari: Imagination XIX.

A lavishly-done promotional piece that showcases the Company's papers with both matte and glossy finishes of varying weights and a very wide range of colors. This is in the overall, a 76-page work, however with a number of additional features. One of these is the envelope containing color postcards measuring about 5" x 8" that depict "The Big 5." The lion, elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, and leopard were the most dangerous of game. There is also a roughly 4" x 4" glossary of safari terms in a few pages. Then there is the roughly 22" x 36" folded poster in a side-accessed pocket. This gives advice on the proper items to obtain and services to engage when anticipating a safari. There are a couple of pages devoted to the people of East Africa. One additional feature of note is the one-page piece, entitled "Man and Animals" by the famous scientist, Richard E. Leakey, signed December 4, 1974, while he was Administrative Director of the National Museums of Kenya. Then, there is an "animal wheel" which shows various animals and the food they prey upon, by size. The entire affair is then contained in a large matte-surface paper envelope with a print of one of the large cats on the front. The piece overall would rate "fine" condition, except that the lower fore corner of the front cover is split and peeled back about 3/8" of an inch. The outer envelope has about five tears--about four under and inch, and one of about five inches from the lower right corner. Bookseller Inventory #
