About this title

Synopsis:

Jason Felix is a multi-faceted artist whose work walks the fine line between hyperrealism and surrealism. Felix melds traditional techniques of drawing and painting with modern-day camera and computer technology. The resulting artwork holds opposing mediums in continuous tension, yet still manages to achieve unlikely harmony. Salvaged takes the viewer into the depths of Felix's imagination. He offers us human bodies collaged and refashioned with industrial elements. He alludes to a level of interplay between man and machine and that both shocks and intrigues. Felix's work, rife with disparate components, is challenging, visually captivating and relevant to our times.

About the Author:

Jason Felix was born in 1973 and grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He has been creating artwork as long as he can remember. A self-taught artist, Jason has become known for his digitally manipulated paintings, which have appeared in Expose, Spectrum, and most recently on the covers of Star Wars 'Legacy of the Force' novels. Jason currently works in the video game industry and has created artwork for such high profile video game franchises as Hellgate, StarCraft, and Prince of Persia. Jason resides with his wife and two naughty cats in San Francisco. He keeps busy creating concept artwork for video games, exhibiting work at galleries and traveling internationally.
