Book Condition: VG+; age browning of tex block edges and soiling of spine. No DJ. Tan cloth boards and spine with red lettering on spine and gold lettering in red block on front board. 569 pp. Included is a mimeograph Daily Bulletin of the 64th Military Police Company (Philippine Scouts) at Camp Marikina near Manila dated 2 April 1948. This is the definitive book on Santo Tomas and includes internee rosters for Santo Tomas, Los Banos, and Baguio internment camps. Santo Tomas was a college campus in the center of Manila that was utilized by the Japanese in WWII to intern American non-combatant civilians. This book is the record of life in the internment camps for allied citizens in the Philippines during those long, bitter, years under Japanese domination. A clean and very presentable copy.
