Paper Covered Boards. Condition: Very Good-. No Jacket. Paper covered boards are worn and rubbed with soil, spots and light stains. Top corners are bent and missing paper covering. Someone has tried to inexpertly "correct" the front corner. Edges are rough and worn. Cloth spine is worn with light fraying. The pages are tanned with light fingerprinting. Hardcover. Condition: Poor. Oblong hardcover. Red cloth over boards, with a black border stamped around a colorful forest scene illustrating the front cover. Edges gilt. Cloth is soiled and worn, with small patches worn away from the edges of the boards, at corners, and the spine piece is missing as well. Everything remains tenuously bound for now, with the sewing being quite loose as well. c. 1926. 50 plates plus title page. Pages generally unmarked but for some fingerprint smudges in the margin, and a few plates have had some spots of color leeched away by the blank facing page. Delightful series of interactions between animals in the forest, not too far away from civilization. Rendered lithographically. Text in French.
