Square tight binding, corners lightly bumped but square, lt edge wear to boards and spine, back cover lightly stained (poss damp stain). Bk eps incl book purch info penciled in (1916 purch fr Moos in San Antonio), lower half of pgs 190 - 251 lightly rumpled (poss former dampness) otherwise, unmarked, age toned pages throughout. Nice copy. ND (1st Thus, later printing of 1847 orig) 251 pps, b/w map, plates, illus, index- lists wounded and killed. Barely 20 years old when the Mexican-American War commenced in 1846, the Texas Rangers played an important role in several battles of that War.
