Hardcover in black cloth with gilt titles and bars in green rectangles to spine; gilt facsimile signature to front, no jacket, 8vo. 1937 to title and copyright pages with emblem but no Scribner's "A" to latter. 262pp. Light spine slant, heavier and more toward moderate at upper end with no effect on strong binding. Lightly softened, unrubbed spine ends; faint rolling crease off upper spine end through upper title box. Gilt and green boxes bright and sharp save for mild touch of dulling to mid author's name and adjacent bars (still strong and clear). Front gilt bright and sharp. Cloth deeply colored and sharp, not rubbed. Uniform moderate toning to deckle-edged pages; clean and unmarked. Some discoloration from paste bleed-through along gutters of endpapers. Vintage bookseller's label (Wakefied, NYC) lower corner front pastedown. Seller Inventory # 015798
