A decent set of mixed impressions in slightly marked dust jackets, complete in 4 volumes. No previous ownership names. With maps and illustrations, all of which are present. Volume 1 is a 5th impression, published in 1961; volume 2 is a 2nd impression, published in 1957. The final 2 volumes are both 1st editions, published in 1960 and 1961. All 4 volumes have some foxing to their edges, but the boards are clean, the bindings are secure and their main contents are clean and complete. The opening volume has the most shelf wear: the front and rear endpapers are foxed, and the portrait frontis is loose (just under half of the left-hand edge has become detached). The binding remains secure. None of the dust jackets have been price-clipped, but all are a bit marked on their spines (please see images). Overall, a decent set, but with some quite marked foxing at the beginning and end of the opening volume, and some blemishes to the dust jackets on their spines, including a couple of small streaks of what looks like white paint.
