First Hartford edition? 12mo. 192pp., and [6] engraved plates. Includes: "The Life of the Author" by Patrick Murdock. Contemporary full leather elaborately stamped in blind and titled in gilt. Small early label of bookseller Tracy Doolittle of Albany, N.Y., rubbed at the spine, a nice about very good copy of a nice and unusual American leather binding. A scarce relatively early American imprint, illustrated with 6 exceptional, unsigned, white-line wood-engravings.
