About this Item

Hardcover with dust jacket; red boards with black lettering and a silhouette of the Hardy Boys in black on the front cover. The spine ends are bumped and the bottom front and back cover boards are slightly faded. The outside end pages are aged with foxing and there is a previous owner's name written in red ink on the half-title page. The binding and hinges are firm. The 158 pages are aged with foxing on several pages, however they do not interfere with the reading of the book with most of the light stains in the margin. The mylar covered dust jacket has rubbing and light chipping at the spine ends and corners. The front cover is vibrant, the spine is in blue and the back cover lists 18 of the Hardy Boys Mystery Series ending with The Secret Agent on Flight 101. In this book, the boys encounter General Smith who wants to enlist their help in solving an old mystery- the disappearance of a cryptic clue to the whereabouts of some gold hidden during the American Civil War. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 001398
