As Darrah notes (World, p.74), New York had been "richly stereographed from 1855 to 1940."?"About a score of aerial views of New York--spectacular novelties at the time- were issued by Keystone between 1922 and 1936". This stereoscopic image of an aerial view of New York shows most of the tall buildings at the time. This view is from 1925-29, when over 20 business structures taller than any then in the city were in process of development. The Empire State building (over 1000 ft. high) was among them, as was the Chrysler building (both built between 1930 and 1931.
