About this title

Synopsis:

We can't all be cuddly koalas, roly-poly pandas or fluffy bunnies!  So, don't say "Yuck", don't say "Ewww!" when you see an Unhuggable like a bat, spider or a snake.  Learning to live together is not so hard to do!  Inside find a fun rhyming story, as well as bonus tips on how young people can start working with animals at an early age.  The bonus section has bat house tips, owl box plans, and the 'how to respect wildlife' fun guidelines!

About the Author:

Working with a large diversity of animals throughout her career, Donna Harrison has seen many children quick to want to learn about snakes, frogs, insects, bats and other 'unhuggables'..only to be turned away by parents who hold negative views of these amazing animals.  Once given the opportunity to learn the facts however, those parent's viewpoints were often easily changed.Since children will be so vital in the years ahead for the survival of many these species, she sought out ways to disparage some of the myths and get both children and parents on the same page:  respecting and learning to live with all wildlife is not so hard to do.She has a Bachelors degree in Zoology from The Ohio State University, and a Master of Science in Environmental Education from Nova Southeastern University.
