From the Publishers' Note, "[T]hese two portfolios have contained a resume of the progress of American wood-engraving as exhibited in its highest and most characteristic examples." What more can be said? The boards are missing, spine covering hanging off, title page separated, water-stained edges, some spotting, a bit of foxing. That said, the prints are in VERY GOOD condition though their surroundings are not. Shipped in plastic sleeve.
