About this title

Zahra Mehdikhan has always wondered why people have children. Is it because they want to see someone created from themselves, or do they feel they can provide a better life for their dear ones than they had and enrich their own lives? Mehdikhan hopes to motivate parents to seek the best for their families, and that some revolution will take place involving our moral values and our manners.

Although parents are responsible for the well being of their children, the government should provide the training that is necessary for all of us to raise our children. In Selfish Parents, Neglected Children, Mehdikhan relates different situations so parents will understand that by working together and joining forces with the government, we can install a way of life that will provide a healthy and safe environment for our children and a better society for everyone.

About the Author:

Originally from Iran (Persia), Zahra Mehdikhan lives in Sherwood, Oregon. An educator, an inventor of patented children’s novelties, and the mother of three successful children, Mehdikhan was prompted to write this book after seeing the problems in the families of the students she has taught. It is her hope that this book will help families who are in trouble solve their problems from the roots.

Store Description

My husband has nearly 25 years experience in media sales, including roughly ten years selling on ABE Books under the name ShelfMasters, Inc. He took early retirement, largely due to health reasons, 3 1/2 years ago. I retired after 36 years of teaching and administration in our local school system, but have been around his bookselling business for 20 years. We sell used, rare and out-of-print books, and instructional DVDs. We also have a few CDs, VHS tapes and the like. We also perform searches for specific books wanted by our customers.

Terms of Sale:

If a DVD or other electronic media has not been opened, it may be returned for a refund. If it has been opened but is defective we will replace it, and will send a postage-paid mailer to you for its return. New items that have been opened and are not defective are not eligible for a refund. We also honor all AbeBooks policies.

Shipping Terms:

Domestic Shipping Standard Shipping is $3.99 for a single item. Multiple items in an order is not automatically $3.99 each, since additional items are usually included at a lower cost from the Post Office. We can determine the costs before you place the order if you will email us. Expedited Shipping is $6.99; 2-Day Shipping is $14.95; and 1-Day is $19.95. Expedited shipping usually takes only 2-3 days for delivery, so unless it is truly urgent we would discourage use of the 1 or 2 day services. International Shipping Rates are $16.95 for up to one pound, and $24.95 for over one pound. We do not offer International Shipping for anything above 4 pounds. DVDs, CDs, etc. are $14.95 for single-item orders.
