Leather boards are worn, rubbed and have edge wear. Page 195 clipped just below the last word. An old label removed from front paste down. Old ink name of George Day on front paste down and on verso of page 195. Rear end sheet missing. Inscription on the front blank end sheet opposite the title page reads, "Philadelphia Kensington Washington City Andrew Jackson President of the United States Edward Livingston Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary." Edward Livingston (1764-1836) was an Attorney from Louisiana, United States Senator from Louisiana, the 11th United States Secretary of State, and Envoy to France under Andrew Jackson's Presidency.
