About this title

Synopsis:

An exploration of the Serpent Path, a modern Antinoan theological system and spiritual methodology for mapping the syncretisms of Antinous, opening a divine window into further relationship with him and the deities and heroes to whom he is linked. Included in the volume is an in-depth examination of syncretism, both historically and in its most fruitful modern polytheist understandings, and nine Appendices with material ranging from spells and rituals to poems related to the Serpent Path, its usage, and its results.

About the Author:

P. Sufenas Virius Lupus is a metagender person, and is a founder of several modern Antinoan groups, and practices an Antinoan spirituality which is a queer, Graeco-Roman-Egyptian syncretist reconstructionist polytheist devotional practice dedicated to Antinous, the deified lover of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, and related divine figures, in addition to being a sacerdos in the public cultus of Antinous, a Lupercus, and the Mystagogos of the Antinoan Mysteries. Lupus has written several books devoted to Antinous, as well as a book of poetry, and essays, fiction, and poetry in a variety of anthologies.
