A Cairo, West Virginia community cookbook that "has been made up from the choicest bits of the best experiences of many who have long traveled the daily round of household duties" (preface). Includes recipes (attributed to local residents) for Jewish Tongue, chili con carne, paprica--Hungarian chicken stew, children's delight salad, burnt leather cake, and much more. In very good condition with slight staining to a few pages, hint of toning to pages, hint of staining and wear to covers with a few tiny chips along right hand margin of front cover.
