256 pages. An adventure novel by Major General George Ared White, a distinguished soldier during the early 20th century and a founder of the Foreign Legion. He wrote pulp fiction on the side. This British edition--published during the Second World War--is much scarcer than the American, and has better dust jacket art, depicting an aerial dogfight in the sky behind a pretty woman and a mysterious Asian man. A very good copy in a dust jacket missing one corner of the front panel, just affecting the title and the author's name. Old tape repairs on the verso (back). Bookseller Inventory # 50485
