About this title

An anecdotal history of the Santa Clara Valley, from the Depression Era, when it was known as the Valley of Heart's Delight, to the present. The images Tower creates with his words remind one of the scenes Norman Rockwell painted.

About the Author:

"Seventy Years in the Silicon Valley" is only one of Bob Tower’s accomplishments. He is also known for his paintings and for pen-and-ink drawings of historical subjects, some of which are in a rotating exhibit on the grounds of the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, California, the city he calls “home.” He designed the City’s Bicentennial Medallion and is a holder of the Grumbacher Medallion, awarded for painting excellence. Other books by this author include The Adventures of Zack Gentry (A Tongue-in-Cheek History of the Opening of the West) and The Life of a Teddy Bear Family”—a children’s book that showcases more of his artwork.
