It arises out of the Vietnam era, a time of painful change and coming of age in America, yet in many ways it is a story that parallels the challenges and transitions facing us today. When a soldier goes off to war, parents, spouses, families, and friends all share in the associated emotions and fears. They also share in the inevitable effects and their resulting consequences, forever.
