About this Item

12p., 5.5x8.5 inches, mimeographed by the poet, plain white printed stapled wraps with mild wear and soiling, handwritten letter in ball-point pen on notebook paper from the poet to a bookseller, signed laid-in with original manila envelope with the poet's address and the bookshop address (University Place Book Shop in NYC) and canceled Winter Olympics stamp. African American self-published poet from Missouri whose work attempts to mimic classical British poetry with a heavy reliance on the term "mine" as in "mine own true love" yet he has at least one poem on the assassination of MLK that, though raw and undisciplined shows some power. The letter is offering the Bookshop two copies in hopes that they will carry the booklet and send him addresses of NYC publiching houses. Bookseller Inventory # 180290
