A brochure highlighting the plight of sharecroppers, both African-American and white tenant farmers, citing difficulties faced in gaining education, advancement and living wages, while also citing sharecropper statistics and highlighting government and private programs available to sharecroppers. Included is a brief discussion of the Fayette-Haywood county evictions in Tennessee and mention of the establishment of Freedom Village, a tent city erected by the evicted tenant farmers. The National Sharecroppers Fund was the funding branch of the Southern Tenant Farmers Union, eventually growing to be an international organization advocating for the rights of small farmers.
