Signed twice by 'Jas M Melville', Writer to the Signet, and his partner James Lindesay ('Jas. Lindesay'), and witnessed by their clerk William Bett ('W. Bett'). '[.] William Kennedy weaver in Kilmarnock died last vest and seized as of fee in all and whole a lot of that piece of ground in Netherton commonly called Gallion purchased by the Marquis of Titchfield from Robert McKean smith in Kilmarnock [.] Joseph Kennedy Carpet Weaver in Lasswade bearer hereof is the eldest son and nearest and lawful heir of the said deceased William Kennedy '.
