Later printing of the paperback edition, bearing a large and bold author inscription and signature to a noted Midwest photographer on the half-title page: "For / Archie & Esther -- / Who, I can say sincerely, / are sweet, dear people / and I treasure having / met them -- / Whitney Bolton."
