About this Item

Red illustrated cloth with white lettering in matching DJ. Minor rub to head and heel of spine and tips of corners. Previous owner signature to front pastedown. Text is otherwise clean and bright, no marks. Glued binding is split but not broken at page 36. Unclipped DJ with $2.75 price shows rubbing to edges, small chips head and heel, small skinned mark to heel of spine. Translated from the Norwegian by Evelyn Ramsden. Wonderful full color illustrations and melodies throughout by the author. "Kardemomma is a lovable little town, full of happy people. There is Tobias; his job is to announce when rain is coming. There is Bastian, who a a very good policeman, but he can hardly bear to arrest anyone; he would much rather have a parade. There is Remo, too, and his little dog Bonnie, and of course the three robbers who come into town at night. They are not really very wicked, and most of the time they just stay at home. They have a lion. Then there are the butcher, the baker, the tram conductor and so many more. Everybody likes to sing." (from the jacket). Bookseller Inventory # D91414
