Foxing and staining to front endpapers through the title page, two gift inscriptions present - one on front paste-down endpaper and the other on the front free endpaper, the illustrations (a map and a chart) have been removed and are no longer present, the front and rear inside hinges are cracked but are holding, the boards are worn and rubbed, the spine head and tail are bumped and chipped, the rear hinge is split for three inches, all corner tips are bumped and frayed.
