About this title
Much is packed into this slim volume by the Captain who held the record for a round-trip voyage between San Francisco and Liverpool. In this memoir he vividly recounts his sea career from 1881-1892About the Author:
Isaac Norris Hibberd was born at Darby, Pennsylvania, in 1862. He left his father's farm when about nineteen to go to sea on sailing ships and continued in maritime activities for the rest of his life. He died in 1934 at the age of seventy-two. His eleven years at sea included nine roundings of Cape Horn as a "boy", seaman, and mate, and seven roundings as master, for a total of sixteen.
