Synopsis: In The Sixth Book of Moses, the forty-year gap in the Bible between the birth of Moses and further events of his life is used to portray development of Moses' character and views. During this period, Moses studies records of Atlantean civilization, psychology and medicine; witnesses the earthquake on Crete, fights for the princess he loves; serves in army; and sails around Arabia, then to India, stopping in main seaports of the ancient world.

Upon receiving the Ten Commandments, Moses travels through the time in God's mind, meeting Biblical prophets, arguing with Satan, conversing with Jesus Christ and Mohammed, and having parallel discourses with Einstein and Planck. Having conceived God's Grand plan, he returns to his own time, accomplishes his exhortations, and thus shapes the future of mankind forever.

The book has many facets. As novel, it is full of adventures, fights and love stories. It is also a collection of poetry-beautiful, passionate and involving. Philosophically and historically, it is a book about heroism of our forebears, the richness of our science and technology, the misery of our self-exterminating wars, and the maturing of mankind.

About the Author: Victor L. Sherman was born in Moscow, Russia in 1931. Married, has two children and two grandchildren. In his working career in Russia, he progressed from workman to head of a research laboratory. His career as a philosopher and writer was greatly influenced by his meetings with Nobel Prize laureate Andrey Sakharov when the latter was an associate professor and Victor was a student. Another influence was the Bible. In 1975, he wrote an essay on privatization of Russia, thus pioneering this issue. Then he secretly brought the manuscript to America, published it, and began disseminating copies to the USSR. A few years later, privatization started there, and the Cold War ended. Did that essay help? In the USA he worked for several Companies as an engineer and wrote The Sixth Book of Moses, which is now being presented to readers.
