"With Specimens of the Principal Writers." Three volumes in similar condition. (1) "The Normal Conquest to the Accession of Elizabeth" Vol. I, 252 pp.; Vol. II, 262 pp. + catalog (2 vols. in 1); (2) "From the Accession of Elizabeth to the Revolution of 1688," Series Second, 1845, Vol. III, 227 pp.; Vol. IV, 228 pp. (2 vols. in 1); (3) "From the Revolution of 1688 to the Present Day," Series Third, Vol. V 256 pp; and Vol. VI, 216 pp. Reddish brown blindstamped boards. Apparent gilt spine. Scotch tape has been place across the spines and most of the boards, completely covering the spine and nearly completely the boards. All hinges cracked or starting, but secured by aforementioned taping. Yellow endpapers are lightly soiled. Prior owner's name and bookseller's label on front paste-down. Text is quite clean. Few pages have tearing along side edges, text not affected. Very hard to find complete set. Bookseller Inventory # 001691
