Synopsis: A practical guide for dedicated hunters. Don't waste days or weeks in the woods, making mistakes that seriously reduce your odds of bagging a whitetail, when spending a couple of hours reading this book (and then applying the knowledge) can make you a highly skilled whitetail hunter.

The objective of this book is to bring all significant points of whitetail hunting under one cover, to provide the readers with accurate learning tools, and present information to readers in a brief, to-the-point manner. If the readers want to quickly learn the basics of whitetail hunting, this is probably the book you have been searching for. To assure that this book is the most accurate and complete whitetail-hunting guide in print today, I selected several skillful hunters to read and critique the book.

This book provides the knowledge that you need to learn to become a highly skilled whitetail hunter. Learning to apply this knowledge will minimize your mistakes, thus minimizing wasted time in the deer woods.

The photographs and brief stories used in this book were inserted to illustrate important points to assist the reader in his/her quest to become a highly skilled hunter. If you are looking for a book full of insignificant photos and hunting stories, this book will probably disappoint you. I simply refuse to waste my readers' time with self-serving photos and words that do not contribute to making you a highly skilled hunter.

About the Author: I have been writing professionally since 1967. I am a retired engineer and spent the last ten years of my engineering career as a manager. A proficient engineer must be an outstanding author or their work will go unnoticed. I have hunted the whitetail for thirty years and routinely fill my kill tags. I've approached the skill/art of hunting much like I approach an engineering project (in a methodical/analytical manner) and have presented my findings in a similar manner as I presented my engineering findings to management for their review/approval.

I have also written the book "Skillfully Hunting the Keen-Eyed Wild Turkey."
