Book Description Blue Ribbon Books, New York, 1932. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. First Edition. Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 96 pages; Large, stout HC in glazed, color illustrated boards. 1st edition. Handsome and well preserved copy of this classic pop-up children's book. Externally bright and very neat with just mild crimping to binding material and spine ends and a whisper of shelf rub across the base of the spine panel. Illustrated with color pictorial maps on endpages, numerous drawings and 4 exquisite, full color double page pop-ups. Contents are clean and neat. Usual gapping between signatures with residue of binder's glue which ineffectually was meant to keep the signatures together, impossible given the weight of the heavy stock pages.
