About the Author:

John Bacon was born in Baltimoreand grew up there. He graduated from Georgetown University with a Master's degreein History. He served in the StateDepartment, foreign service, with seven years overseasduty, after which he worked for the CIA as analyst, writer, editor. He established the intelligence unit of DEAand worked in it until his retirement from government service. He also established the intelligence unit ofthe Maryland State Police. Inretirement, among other things, he worked as an editor at the NASA StationProgram. He is married and the father offour sons. This is his first publishednovel.
