Inscribed, signed, and dated in red ink by the author on the front endpaper: "For Lester Grinspoon / with thanks for his good and important work-- / Del Cogswell Brebner / 7-9-91." The inscription makes the book an interesting association copy, as Grinspoon is the author of "Marijuana Reconsidered" and a prominent spokesperson for a more rational approach to the drug. Brebner's first book describes the dope-smoking last year in the life of Dorothy (Do) Hamilton. Quarter-bound in red paper with a black-colored, gilt-lettered cloth spine. Book is tight, square, and unmarked; back bottom corner lightly bumped; faint dust-spotting to top page edges.
