Book Description Longmans, Green and Co, New York, 1952. Blue Cloth w gilt graphics. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good Minus. This 612 cerebral page cultural benchmark is presented in the pub's original blue cloth with gilt titling and deco ration. Just for the record, okay, for we would be remiss if we did not mention that both binding and text block are rock solid tight and clean, AAA all the way. Totally unbumped and unmarked. Original and authentic UNCLIPPED jacket is also nice but does have some sun-darkening to spine and at folds., plus several small chips at spine ends. This Volume I reviews the "social and cultural history of America [spanning] . . . two and a half centuries between the birth of Roger Williams . . . and the death of Abraham Lincoln" (from the dj front flap). Volume II (which is not present) reviews the post-Civil War period. Enough said of offerings which speak loudly for themselves. Acquire, enjoy, and share what the self-actualized author has discovered in his extensive intellectual travels to prepare this very informative writing for public edification. Experience the pleasure of reading and appreciating this actual printed item. It has its own physical history that imbues it with a permanent character lacking in transitory electronic renderings. As always, more photos and/or info on request. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardcover. Seller Inventory # 010727
