Virtually two books in one, the first is the Soldier’s Story then pages are renumberd for a Louisiana Adjutant Generals’ report of state tropps and a series of short stories/rembrances finsh the book. An important and scarce journal of military life during the Civil War. Good copy of the first edition. Boards and endpages have some wrinkling. Foxing scattered on pages throughout.
