Hardcover in green cloth with fading gilt embossed title to spine and title and decorative border to front cover. This book contains both Volume I: Stormy Days, and Volume II: Years of Endeavor. Signed twice by the author: first on the front free endpaper: "To Dr. and Mrs. Richard Chute from Alexis and Anastasia Romanoff, Sept. 1968, Ithaca, N.Y."; secondly, his full signature "Alexis L. Romanoff" to the bottom of the 3.5" wide by 5.25" high gloss bookplate, under the black and white photo of the author, affixed opposite the title page. Autobiography in verse by Russian emigre who became a celebrated professor of chemical embryology at Cornell University. Book is tight, clean and unmarked except as noted plus a light pencil erasure to upper right corner of front free endpaper. Media mail included.
