About this title

Synopsis:

A mother's love is sometimes all a child has to cling to. What happens to a child when a mother loves her child to much or not enough? Len and Maurice are brothers scarred by their past. Overcoming is the only way that they can survive. The story follows these two brothers through love and hate relationships as they find their way despite the burdens they carry. While reading this book the reader is treated to a unique look into the characters' minds that will forever redifine the term son of a bitch.

Review:

You asked me to let you know what I thought about the book and I just finished it today. All I can say is "WOW"!!! I was really surprised by the ending because I just knew that Len had finally found his way. To be dissapointed in such an uncaring way had to be devastating to him... Being light skinned I can somewhat relate to Len and society's assumption that light skinned people have it easy. What they don't realize is that the stereotypes placed on us are much worse than the ones placed on brown/dark skinned blacks. I really enjoyed the book... --nikig23@yahoo.com

Started it on Monday evening and couldn't put it down. It gave me a lot of insight of how we really screw our children up. I saw a lot of things that I've made mistakes when it comes to my two boys, and I never thought how my other children were feeling. Thanks again for a great read. --artlady@hotmail.com
