About the Author:

Meredith Briggs Skeath, born in 1949, attended Harvard and Indiana Universities as an undergraduate; she received an M.A. from Maharishi University of Management and an M.F.A. in creative writing from Warren Wilson College. She has taught writing at every educational level. Since 1971 she has taught the Transcendental Meditation program; she currently is also teaching adolescents organizational, study, and writing skills. She lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with her husband, three children, a dog, a bird, and a guinea pig.
