Octavo. 73p. The journey of the two friends from Chicago who toured Arizona and New Mexico by mule, horse, and train taking photographs (which are hand mounted) along the way. The endpapers who their strips to the major cities as well as to Acoma, Islleta, Lamy and Taos and the Walpai, chin Lee and Red Lake in the Navajo country of Arizona. The photograph of Santiago Naranjo, former Governor of Santa Clara, Gracia Maria Chiniquiqui of Isleta Pueblo (decorating her pottery) , they visited the studio of Coues [sic] (probably Couse in Taos. There are three photographs of the photographer at work. Franklin Ingalls Jordan (1876-1956) published a number of books on photographic techniques. Original cloth with light wear. unlettered spine.
