Entitled Souvenir History of Carlisle "America's Most Historic Town" Old Home Week, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, October 19-25, 1924. Subtitled: A Brief Pictorial and Descriptive History, Published to Commemorate Old Home Week and Create a Wider Interest In the Past and Present of "Old Bellaire. For the Benefit of The Empire Hook and Ladder Company. Gloss pages bound at left with 3 large staples, and a heavy tan glued wrap. Full of early photos of this college town depicting buildings then on Dickinson College campus and local businesses and municipal buildings. History, pictures and description of the Molly Pitcher monument and related sites. Histories and photos of 5 fire companies: Union, Cumberland, Goodwill, Empire and Friendship. A few photos of buildings in town that were later destroyed by fire. Last 20 pages contain 43 local ads and some photos. All copy on all pages is readable and no pages are missing. The wrap suffers from stains, 1" loss to lower outer corner, and a quarter-sized area of insect damage to front cover near spine, affecting on the printed border on the front cover. (See photo). Similar sized area of insect damage at top edge margin of title page, and loss [progressively less each leaf] at lower outer corner in margin area through page 8. Most pages in the first half of the book are wrinkled mildly in the lower corners, and some along outer edge. Ships in 24 hours in a cardboard box. Bookseller Inventory # 002410
