Pamphlet. 16 pp. A speech regarding the U.S.-Mexican War, recalling the United States annexation of Texas and possible illegal actions, calling the war "unnecessarily and unconstitutionally commenced by the Executive." Hudson argues against the costs of the war and the struggle for funding, stating that most for the war were against direct taxation to fund it. GOOD condition, slightly ex-library, with a small stamp at the upper front cover. Hudson's name and minor library notations also present in pencil. Minor soiling and general darkening to the paper, with some offsetting to the front cover. Two horizontal fold creases present, with a few other minor creases and wrinkles.
