A speech by Andrew Stewart on potential tariffs and funding that would affect the development of the western lands of the United States, alleging cronyism by President Martin Van Buren, and rebuking some of his policies. Stewart expresses concern that financial gains made by the development of the West would benefit primarily those in the East United States. Andrew Stewart was a politician from Pennsylvania, serving in the U.S. House of Representatives. GOOD condition. Three initials in ink at the top of the front page. General browning, some soiling, and a few small stains present to the pamphlet. Fore edge with many small tears, a few chips and heavy curling/creasing. Minor chipping, tearing and creasing along the other extremities. Unopened along the top edge, except at the center. Sabin 91643. Graff 1084 (part of a bound volume). Bookseller Inventory # 006713
