Condition: Good. Undated but c 1890. Bound in maroon cloth with elaborate gilt decoration and lettering. Bevelled edges. Vol I is in fair only condtion, with taped repair to spine which has loss to base and splitting to shoulders. Very faded front board. Front hinge is cracking otherwise binding is good. Gilt text block edges. Pages are age tanned with occasional slight foxing and staining. Vol II has slight fading to front board and wear and fading to spine. Otherwise in very condition. Vol III has a faded and worn spine, gilt ot front boards is bright and condition is very good. Vol IV is similarly very good. Folio. Overall a very nice set.
