London, 1933. Quarto, cloth with illustrated acetate jacket, 37 pp. plus plates. No. 201 of 1,000. A finely produced title, with many quality reproductions of Messel's costume work. This copy with the very uncommon acetate jacket, which is unfortunately quite brittle and discolored and has left some staining on the boards. Because of the brittleness we are unable to protect it further in mylar, as it will crack at the seams when folded, so the book is in a somewhat fragile state due to the jacket. Contents are fine, slight lean to spine, very good minus condition overall due to the discoloration to boards. Jacket is fair to good with some chips and tears.
