Very good in original mustard cloth with gilt lettering on spine and black lettering with gilt illustration on front board. Floral endpapers. Both hinges have some separation, but binding is still relatively tight. Spine is a little darkened, and spine ends have slight wear. The author of this novel was an opera star in Europe, as well as a journalist and the mistress of Guy de Maupassant. Seller Inventory # 022034
