About this title

Synopsis:

Playwright, director, actor, songwriter, singer: few artists have influenced popular culture more than the legendary NoŽl Coward. He chronicled high society with sparkling wit, played a crucial role in Britain's propaganda efforts during World War II, and made a splash in Hollywood. This lavishly illustrated volume, with its elegant slipcase, celebrates everything Coward. It includes 20 removable pieces of facsimile memorabilia--letters, sheet music, manuscript drafts, drawings, and programs--as well as a DVD featuring previously unseen, personal footage.

About the Author:

Barry Day O.B.E. is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Trustee of the Noël Coward Foundation. The world's foremost expert on Noël Coward, he wrote Coward On Film: The Cinema of Noël Coward, Noël Coward: The Complete Illustrated Lyrics, The Noël Coward Reader, The Letters of Noël Coward, and My Life With Noël Coward (with Graham Payne). He was awarded the O.B.E. for “services to British culture in the USA” and lives in New York City and Palm Beach.
