About this Item

Printed wraps. 24 pp. A polemical piece on the New York City government and its leaders, alluding to misuse of power by those in Tammany Hall, and warning of its outcomes. This includes alleging that a form of Communism had been established by city leaders, with Welsh arguing for 'free suffrage,' and citing Southern struggles, as well as those of freed African-Americans. FAIR condition. The whole pamphlet is rather brittle, with small pieces flaking off along the extremities. Covers and first and last few pages DETACHED from the rest, with the remainder either very loose or also detached. Covers soiled, with some staining, heavier to the rear. A few small numerical stamps in the interior. Minor scattered soiling. Bookseller Inventory # 007896
